Who We Are

Established in 1949, Johnston Lewis Associates, also known as JLA Insurance Group, is an elite Independent Insurance Agency serving the needs of individuals, families, businesses, and the community both locally and nationally for Insurance, Employee Benefits, and

Human Resource Servicing needs.


We pride ourselves to continuously expand and refine our process to better serve those clients who have selected us as their partner. We have built our business by earning the trust of our clients every day. We earn that trust using our two most important tools: Our people and the automation systems they use. Most of our team members have achieved the Certified Insurance Counselor or similar service designations proving

dedication to an excellent client experience.

Unlike a captive agency or direct writer who is employed by a single insurance source, we represent a multitude of carefully chosen insurance companies offering every kind of insurance product imaginable. This allows us to be truly objective when recommending products. Most importantly, our client and company relationships are the strength of our organization and drive majority of the capabilities we can elect here at JLA.


Over the past 70 years, we have proven that JLA stands ready to help clients make the right decisions, always deliver quality within reasonable time, and place clients' success first, all while creating a lifetime partner in the process.
